Purple Heart or Amaranth trees grow in the Amazon basin. In some cultures Purple Heart is said to enhance creative energy and to eliminate tensions and negative energies.
The wood is well-known for its intense natural purple tint, and is also one of the strongest woods in the world. The wood is also very, very durable being highly resistant to insects, funghi, and moisture/temperature changes.
Even though purpleheart wood is an exclusive choice and can be difficult to get your hands on, it’s a sustainable wood – not a threatened species.
